Create a backorder
Backorders can be created off the back of orders with unavailable stock. To create a back order:
- Sign in via the Jungle web login page
- Navigate to the orders page and find an order with unavailable stock
- Click the "+" button next to the line item with unavailable stock
- Go to the backorder page
- Find the line item/s by selecting the "purchasable" filter (To ensure the selected backorders don’t already exist on a purchase order; the “PO Line / Quantity” column should be empty.)
- Click the relevant line items, then select "Create Purchase Order"
- Fill in the purchase order form and "Submit"
A notification will pop-up to notify you whether the backorder was successful or not. If there is an error, please refresh the page and try again.
Reach out to Jungle via support@jungle.app if the error persists.
Repeat this for each of the sales order line items that you would like to place backorders for.
Status
A purchase order must be in submitted and accepted status to start receiving items against it. Ensure that the purchase order is in the correct status before executing the "Receive stock to purchase order" workflow in the handheld.
Edit a purchase order
In the event that user would like to modify a purchase order's details or line items, click the edit button. Once the relevant changes have been made, verify that the user has saved and updated the status of the purchase order.
